Learning to Dog Training Club
Join us for weekly drop-in classes to learn new skills or bring your training to the next level. Your dog benefits from the mental stimulation and dedicated time with you! If you struggle to get your training time in, need practice around other dogs and people, or just want to have fun with your dog, join us! See the Fall 2023 Schedule.
WHO? For all dogs!
COST: $40 per class, attend one or attend them all!
Prerequisite: Learning to Puppy, Learning to Dog, or call 919-451-4226 for instructor’s permission.
WALK WITH ME & RECALL
A relaxing walk with our dogs is one of the great joys in life! Come and learn the foundation skills you need to make your your walks more enjoyable for both you and your dog. We will also play games to build a reliable recall behavior.
WHO? For dogs 6 months and older
COST: 4 weeks of classes $140
Prerequisite: Learning to Puppy, Learning to Dog, or instructor’s permission
SAY HI! POLITE GREETINGS
This class will help you and your dog build the skills needed for polite greetings. We will train several greeting routines and then help you customize a routine that makes the most sense for you and your dog.

COST: 4 weeks of classes $140
Prerequisite: Learning to Puppy, Learning to Dog, or instructor’s permission.
TRICKS FOR CLICKS
Training tricks provides physical and mental exercise, and enhances training of the ‘basics’. We will be using clicker training in this class to enhance communication between you and your dog. We will decide as a class what tricks we’d like to focus on.

COST: 4 weeks of classes $140
Prerequisite: Learning to Puppy, Learning to Dog, or instructor’s permission.
CANINE GOOD CITIZEN (CGC)
This class will help you prepare for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) exam, focusing on 10 basic skills to ensure your dog is well mannered in your community around people and other dogs. Many therapy dog programs require CGC certification.
WHO? For dogs 6 months and older
COST: 6 weeks of classes $215
Prerequisite: Learning to Puppy, Learning to Dog, or instructor’s permission.

LEARNING TO DOG
Have you just adopted a new dog and need to get your training started? Or maybe you need some help brushing up on the fundamentals? This class will focus on the use of positive reinforcement to teach behaviors such as attention, stay, leash manners, leave it, and more!
WHO? For dogs 12 months and older
COST: 6 weeks of classes $205
